I had the opportunity to create two animated sequences for a documentary film that delves into the fascinating origins and rich history of fly fishing in America. The focus of the documentary centers around the Catskills region of New York State, which is widely regarded as the birthplace of this beloved sport.
Client - Spinnerfall/Cinetrope Entertainment | Role - Art Direction, Storyboards, Design, Animation
The first piece delves into the roots of the sport, tracing it back to ancient Macedonia, and showcases the evolution of fly fishing over the centuries.
The second piece is an animated map of the "Charmed Circle" region in the Catskills, which is widely regarded as the birthplace of fly fishing in America.
Through these two animated sequences, we aimed to engage the viewers and take them on a journey through time, highlighting the rich history and significance of fly fishing in America's cultural heritage.
